I confess I love my power tools and I'm not referring to my Hubby's either, I have quite a few of my own and my very own tool box to keep them in, and it's definitely never been anywhere near the garage. The main drawback with these tools of the trade though is I have to have extension cords trailing all over my bedroom, which to be perfectly honest is a pain in the backside. I've even been known to trip over these cords when trying to get in and out of bed.

Anyway, when I heard about the Natural Contours Ideal Vibe and the fact that it was rechargeable I got excited. It appeared to offer me all the benefits of a stronger vibe but without the need for the cords and I was all for that idea. So as usual I waited impatiently for the UPS guy to turn up and all but ripped the box from his arms when he arrived.

First Impressions:
As I peered into my newly delivered box of delights it soon became obvious that Natural Contours is a female run business. It was so nice to see a toy packaged with the actual end user in mind. So often I open packages only to find images on the packaging that would be better on a porno flick than on my sex toys -)) Plain and simple was how I can best describe this packaging but at the same time it was elegant and sophisticated and made me want to explore further. The box this comes in is see-through but it wasn't long before I had the lid off and was greeted by what I can only describe as a Hitachi magic wand look alike but with a lot more elegance. As well as the vibe itself was a mains charger.

As I picked my new toy up I was pleasantly surprised to find it was relatively light compared to some of the other power toys I possess. The handle was also easy to grip as it has an ergonomic design but I was truly shocked when I turned this puppy on to it's lowest setting. Power tools are called power tools for a reason, they deliver much more power because they are run by mains power as opposed to battery power. Considering this was rechargeable and I had no idea how powerful it would be, I sure wasn't disappointed! This packed a punch even on low and the high setting got me very excited indeed.

Couple Play:
At this point Hubby arrived in the kitchen and he happens to be a guy who also loves my power toys almost as much as his own. When we decide to have a toy night you can bet he'll bring out the power toys before the others simply because as he puts it; they provide him with better stimulation. So we started playing around, as the unit was charged and ready to go, and even with his jeans on and the Ideal Vibe on its lowest setting the results of the oscillating current the Ideal Vibe provided was soon evident. Never one to miss the opportunity for some afternoon fun before the kids return from school we hastily retreated to the bedroom for some afternoon delight.

Hubby got all naked and lay down as I began teasing him with what by now was fast becoming his ideal sex toy judging by his face. The only downside to this toy was the fact it isn't quiet by any stretch of the imagination but is quieter than most. That said the same is true of most power toys but unlike most I didn't have to deal with the annoying powercord that often gets in the way of play with other power toys. Low power was powerful enough for me but turning it up to high took the whole experience to new and delicious heights and by now the panties had been removed so the vibrations were even more intense. I found that holding the Ideal directly on my clit was not ideal and far too powerful for this girl but holding it over my vulva and to one side was much more my thing and it wasn't long before I had that wonderful red and strangely contorted face of orgasm as well, according to Hubby.

My only real complaint was the usual vibrating hand that is so common after using a toy this powerful. I have found a way around this though and now instead of holding the Ideal I place it between two pillows and lower myself on to it for a hands vibration free experience a lot of the time. This can be great if your bed like mine is the right height and can also be done with a chair at the right height.

What's it all add up to?
We love our new power tool and that's official ! There were a couple of downsides to it such as it's not particularly quiet and like all tools this powerful it does leave the hand vibrating afterwards. The vibrations that it produces in all the right areas are wonderfully delicious though and not having to trail cords everywhere to achieve this much power is a definite bonus. The charge does last for a long time we discovered a couple of nights ago when we had a real play session, I think we must have used the Ideal for well over an hour without it running down and that's more than enough time for most people when the vibrations are this strong.

It's a useful toy for foreplay too as it's designed to massage not just those really sensitive areas but just about any other pat of your body. We have tried to use the Ideal when doing the horizontal tango but without much success to be honest. The head is just to large to be able to hit just the right spot but it definitely give a new sensation as the vibrations are so wide spread.

This is definitely a hit in our household and I can see Hubby raiding my tool box more than I raid his over the coming months. Now if there was just some way to make this waterproof I think they really would have created my Ideal toy but as it stands this is gets an A plus from both Hubby and myself as a versatile toy that packs a punch without having to worry about electrical sockets.
