I don't know about you but I love playing games, especially board games, so when I was asked to review a new adult board game that is now on the market I couldn't resist. The name alone was enough to perk my interest, how could anyone resist a game named "SexDrive™"? So I ordered a copy and waited till it arrived three days later as promised.

It wasn't long before I was exploring the contents of the classy black box that encased my new game, and I have to say I was impressed. SexDrive™ is designed to be played by 2-6 adults and I like to play to the max. So I decided to invite some friends round for the fourth of July weekend and see just how much mileage this game really contained for my money.

So six of us settled down around the coffee table and began to explore. Anyone who plays board games knows there are two key elements to a good game: clear instructions is the first and SexDrive's™ makers provided these I'm glad to say. We had no trouble figuring out what we were expected to do, which is a major plus when your playing a game. Everything you need to start playing is included right down to the pencil and notepad, I like attention to detail and was impressed with that.

So now we knew how to play we decided to give it a whirl. We selected a banker, ummm I said banker, stop laughing or as the makers called her the dept. of sex vehicles, whose job it is to hand out libido and sex permits to those who earn it.

It soon became apparent that SexDrive™ is loosely based on Trivial Pursuits but with a few more twists and a definite curve towards the adult world. The game consists of two courses: The outer and the inner and the idea is to be the first to complete the two courses and all eight categories they contain. Along the courses are a variety of obstacles, roll backs, and stop signals. Each player must obey the rules of the road by answering a sex related question at a stop signal for example.

Included with the game is a pot of playdo and yep we wondered what this was for as well at first. That was until one of us stumbled into the body shop and drew a corresponding card. On that card where details of 12 tasks that the player choose one to perform, while everyone else guessed what they were doing. Have you ever tried to sculpt sunglasses or a baby from playdo? Trust me it's not easy but it made for some great laughs. As well as sculpting there was also the option to draw or act your chosen task. It got to the point where we were wishing people would go into the body shop as this was simply hilarious to watch -))

There are a lot more twists and turns to this game and it moves quickly, thanks in part to the odd shaped die that has 12 numbers as opposed to the normal six. The questions themselves were either multi choice or simple true or false answers and I loved the humor that was thrown into them, as did my friends. With over 500 question cards and two questions on each we didn't even touch most of them but we did learn plenty for example do you know the answers to these two questions:

The term hooker is credited to which person?
or
What percentage of women who reported masturbating 1-5 times a year felt guilty about masturbating?

If not you will after playing SexDrive™ and a lot more besides -))

What's it all add up To?
Despite the fact that SexDrive™ is billed as an adult game due to the sexual nature of the questions, it's quite possible to play this with a group of friends or even the more adult members of your family. Unlike many adult games it doesn't ask you to lick your partners bits or perform impossible tasks in order to win.

SexDrive™ has all the elements of a good board game and the great thing is you get to learn too! I didn't know many of the answers to the questions, and spent a lot of the night getting ribbed about it, but it was great fun and made for an excellent evenings entertainment.

The makers have really put some serious thought into SexDrive™: it's fun, informative and classy and that's not a combination that's easy to achieve with a game that is actually really simple to play. It was given a serious thumbs up by all of those I've played it with so far.

If you're looking for a game to rev up your sexual information, have a good laugh and still keep your clothes on then I can't recommend SexDrive™ enough!
