Wet
spots, love them or hate them one thing is
for sure you can't ignore them! Or at least
that's the general consensus of Clitical's
female visitors, so when I came across a product
that promised to eliminate the dreaded sleep
stopper I just had to review it and share
my findings.
Luv
Linen actually comes in two flavor's, disposable
and washable. I ordered both and soon enough
they turned up at my door, courtesy of my
favorite Fed Ex guy who I would love to ask
to help me review them but he had work to
do so,.... Whoops where was I? Oh yeah, umm
okay, I opened up the box and was greeted
by something resembling a leopard print blanket
and two disposable Luv Linen sheets, which
reminded me of the days when I changed diapers
but we'll get to them in a moment.
I
was intrigued by the leopard skin and strangely
drawn to it. Would this be the answer to so
many peoples wet spot nasties? It had a comfortable
feel, and it was definitely well made and
surprisingly enough not that bulky, considering
according the women who made it, it was capable
of holding 6 cups of fluid, and even I know
that's a lot of fluid. I love a challenge
and this tit bit of information seemed like
just that, so I donned my reviewers white
coat and headed to the kitchen, found 6 cups,
filled them with water an proceeded to slowly
tip them onto the Luv linen. I'm pleased to
report that despite my reservations that something
this thin could hold that much liquid, I didn't
end up mopping my kitchen floor as the liquid
was held in place.
So
onto the next part of the review, this time
after I'd dried the very wet but absorbent
item, I added a large dose of wet water based
lube and some oil based Id Cream lube to the
mix. Rubbed it in, how I'm not going to tell
you, as your imagination is better than any
words I could use to describe the process
and then washed and dried the Luv linen once
more. When I was at the rubbing in stage I
did notice how easily the Luv Linen absorbed
the wetness of the lube, even the oil based
one, so all I was concerned was that it might
stain the material. Again Luv Linen passed
this part of the test.
So
for the final part of the review Hubby and
I set the night aside for some horizontal
dancing with our freshly laundered Luv Linen
taking center stage. Like a lot of couples,
we occasionally like what we call a messy
session and tonight was going to be one of
those nights. We had ice cubes, chocolate
sauce, a variety of massage oils and flavored
lubes at hand as well as bunch of toys.
We
didn't start in the bedroom though we decided
the living room would make for a nice change
of setting and also gave me the chance to
try out the disposable Luv liners. These actually
resembled large diapers but when laid out
covered a pretty wide area and I personally
liked the fact that I could have sex without
worrying about having to mop down the furniture
later [It's a female thing guys -) ] All I
had to do instead was pick up the Luv Liner
and throw it in the garbage, mess, lube, other
deposits and all. Easy, peasy, no hassle,
no mess!
So
we moved to the bedroom and after a pretty
vigorous session and lots of mess, actually
I think we threw more mess at each other because
by now we both trusted that the Luv Linen
would keep the sheets clean. Oils, chocolate
sauce, and lubes we're used in varying amounts
that night and the Leopard skin Luv Linen
passed with flying color's when at the end
of the night we simply picked it up and I
threw it in the washer. On other occasions
since then I've simply thrown it in the laundry
basket but as I said that night it was really
messy -))
I
also discovered that Luv Linen can come in
handy at certain times of the month, either
when I'm playing with a partner or by myself.
Who wants to do that and end up with messy
sheets? I know I don't and the Luv Linen eliminated
that worry for me. According to the instructions
it's okay to use non chlorine bleach so stains
were not a problem. Another thing to bear
in mind when washing these is that using too
much fabric softener can affect their absorbency,
personally I've been washing them as separate
items and even by hand at times. Drying is
a breeze and requires nothing more than putting
the Luv Linen in the dryer on a medium heat.
What's
it all add up to?
I think the creator of Luv linen is onto a
winner here. It takes a lot to impress me
when it comes to products but this took everything
we could throw at it and lived up to it's
claims. My one concern is I would have liked
it a little larger as at times Hubby and I
found ourselves repositioning it depending
on where the messiest action was taking place.
That said we as always went overboard because
we like to really test things, but under normal
circumstances this probably wouldn't have
been such a concern.
Personally
I preferred the feel of the Luv Linen as opposed
to the disposable Luv Liners, there was just
something more comfortable about having a
leopard skin velvet print underneath me than
something that in reality reminded both Hubby
and myself of an extra large diaper. That
said the Luv Liners are great when your travelling,
as we discovered on a recent overnighter,
and again eliminates the concerns of leaving
messy sheets for the maid in the morning.
The Luv linen is now a staple in our house/bed/sex
life and this is one product I can honestly
recommend that will help eliminate the wet
spot and allow couples to have truly messy
sex at anytime of the month!
