Giving gifts to that someone special in your life is often something
that many of us spend a lot of time worrying about each year, especially
at xmas time. The thing that is often overlooked and could make
gift giving a lot simpler is that often it's not the gift itself
that counts but the thought that goes into it. Below are some tips
and hints that can help make sure that you select the right gift
and also receive the gift you really want this year.
Ask Santa:
When we are kids it's okay to ask Santa for what we really want
but unfortunately as we get older and realize that Santa does really
exist, we forget that sometimes in order to get what you want you
have to ask or at least hint. The adult equivalent of the letter
to Santa is the wish list and they can be great fun to create.
Ask And It
Shall Be Delivered
We've all been there at some stage in our lives, we know EXACTLY
what gift we want to find under the tree on Xmas morning, only to
be disappointed. So how do you go about getting the gift that you
really want?
There are several
ways that you can achieve your goal and the easiest and the most
overlooked is to simply ask -)) Yes Virginia it really can be that
easy. Think about the amount of time you probably spend each year
trying to figure out the perfect gift and wishing they would tell
you what they wanted. Wouldn't it be great to have a list of what
that person was really yearning for?
Surprise
Me:
Not sure about you but I really don't like it when my partner simply
says surprise me when I ask him what he wants. He really would make
my life easier if he just gave me a few simple choices to pick from
that he actually wanted. Again this where a wish list can come in
handy. The surprise element is still there but at the same time
I at least have a clue -))
Themed Gifts:
As I've said before it's often the thought behind a gift that makes
it special rather than the gift itself. Putting together a themed
gift is easy it just takes thought! Something as simple a s a basket
filled with handmade soaps and bath salts can show you care and
tucking in that wonderful piece of jewelry you brought can make
it even more special. The element of surprise is what makes this
gift special and memorable. For more erotic themed gifts for him

Just For
Fun:
Xmas is about having fun and I personally love receiving the occasional
fun gift from my man or giving them. Anything from massage oils
that heat up, to flavored condoms are great gag gifts. Every year
since I got married I've threatened to buy my Hubby a blow up sheep,
maybe this year will be that year! Who knows, he certainly doesn't
and that's part of the fun as well.
Long Distance
Gifts:
If your special someone lives away from you, a great gift is a Phone
Card but again put some thought into the presentation rather than
throwing it an envelope and posting it why not include a hand written
note telling them that you wish they were closer and you can't wait
to hear their voice again, etc. You get the idea I'm sure.
All Wrapped
Up:
Don't scrimp on the wrapping of a gift. Be creative, have fun and
make it personal. Sometimes the most memorable part of a gift is
the way in which it's wrapped. The care with which you wrap a gift
signifies to the recipient that they are really important to you
and that you cared enough to make the special effort of a beautiful
gift wrapping presentation. One year I was given what I thought
was a box of chocolates, a nice gift in itself, but as I moved from
the first to the second layer and was presented with a necklace
as well as the chocolates. Now that was one box of chocolates I'll
never forget -))
Conclusion:
It is better to give than receive is a good saying to go by at anytime
of the year. Giving that special someone a surprise gift can bring
you closer together, make a special memory or simply make you both
feel good and that's what gift giving should be all about.
