There
are many myths surrounding Pyrex glass toys and the following
is intended to sort out the myths from the facts.
Pyrex
glass has long been associated with chemistry labs and kitchen
ware but over the last few years has been increasing used in the
manufacturer of adult toys and for good reasons.
Unlike
typical glass, Pyrex glass is by design very hard and durable
and possesses excellent insulating properties. Pyrex can be warmed
or cooled and will retain either properties for a long time.
Hygiene: Because Pyrex does not absorb odors or germs that
may cause infections in women it is an extremely hygienic material
to use in sex toys. It is also very easy to clean because well
it's smooth -)) It's not porous properties are what make these
toys very hygienic.
Durable:
Pyrex glass has a proven history of durability in both medical
and scientific fields and with the correct care can last for many,
many years.
Hot and
Cold Properties: Pyrex can be warmed or cooled and will capture
and hold those properties for a long time, making this a versatile
toy material. It also holds body heat well and this in turn makes
for a more realistic experience.
Warming: To
warm your glass toy, we suggest filling your sink with the desired
temperature of warm water and soaking your glass toy for 20 to
30 minutes, giving the heat time to soak all the way into the
center. Use caution when heating.
Do
Not
over heat, as it may cause burns to sensitive skin. Test before
using.
Cooling: For
an unusual feeling, we suggest placing your new Toy in the refrigerator,
NOT THE FREEZER, for a period
of 20 to 30 minutes.
"WARNING"
- DO NOT place your new toy in the freezer. Pyrex Glass
is NOT intended to be frozen.
Going from freezing cold to room temperature, or body heat, may
shock the glass causing it to fracture. DO
NOT FREEZE.
Lubrication: Because Pyrex has a smooth finish a tiny amount
of any lube will go a long, long way with Glass toys. Another
plus of the smooth finish is that lube rarely becomes gloopy or
sticky.
Cleaning:
Before and after using a glass toy you should clean it well which
is an easy process. You can use warm water and a mild disinfectant
hand soap all over the surface. Just be sure which ever you choose
to rinse your new toy well after cleaning and before using.
It is possible to clean Pyrex toys in the dishwasher but unless
you reserve a dishwasher specifically for the purpose we don't
recommend it as dishwashers are meant for dishes not sex toys.
Storage:
Most Pyrex toys come with a pouch designed to keep it safe. The
best way to store your glass toy is in this pouch and then in
a small box.
